I am back in the swing of things. I didn’t get much writing done this past weekend. Of course, I didn’t get much sleep either. Long story, short. I purchased a new CPAP mask and it failed miserably, so I spent three nights without sleep before realizing I could use my old mask, which is what I decided to do. After having no sleep for 3 days, I didn’t feel much like writing yesterday.
Today I took to it again and completed the first scene of Ursidae: Infinity Verge Book 3. I am pretty excited about this because it is the final novel in my Infinity Verge Trilogy, and I have been itching to finish the series.
I am sure I have mentioned before that I struggle with not writing and then returning to writing and feeling a sort of writing fog. So this month, May, I am committing to myself to write at least 2,000 words a day. Starting today! This is purely 2,000 words or more in my manuscript and does not include this blog post. Nor does it include my tentative synopsis for Ursidae below:
Abel Cain is a prisoner of the Vald, forced to pilot a vessel designed especially to keep him prisoner. Abel is compelled to carry out vicious attacks on his fellow humans. Abel struggles to gain the strength to fight back. Meanwhile, Captain Echo Shade works to break ADM’s code so she can go on the hunt for Abel. Urged by Abel, Admiral Zed tries to put together a fleet on Eden to challenge the Vald onslaught, but he has forgotten about threats closer to home.
Still bitter about Abel’s escape and Admiral Zed’s defection, Fleet Admiral Andromeda Clark prepares to quell the rebellion she believes is being birthed on Eden. Determined to crush the rebellion of her fantasy, Clark entrenches herself in a dangerous alliance. The stakes have never been higher for Abel and Echo as they fight their own battles, light years apart. Both are determined to stop the Vald from destroying all they love and cherish.
Now it is time to get back to writing this conclusion. Remember that Atlas is available now for pre-order and releases officially on June 1st. Also, if you want to get some of my short stories, or the first book of the Infinity Verge Trilogy for free, visit me at djmorandauthor.com/mailinglist/
Until next time folks.
